I wanna share the most simple adjustment you can make to significantly increase your visibility in ChatGPT. It has to do with how you title your blog post.

So as you might know, the title of your page is the most important factor in SEO. And it's no different with large language models.

And when I say the title, I mean both the meta title and what's called the H1 or the visible title on the page. The most important factor for ranking is that that title matches what someone's searching for as closely as possible.

Now when someone's searching inside of ChatGPT or Google's AI mode, it's not about matching the person's prompt. Rather, after someone answers the prompt, the AI is going to break that down into a series of specific searches for you to be recommended by the large language model.

Your title needs to match those searches as closely as possible. And here's the thing, large language models don't search the same way humans do.

And so there's a ton of available data around the terms that humans use in search engines, which is why the most common terms are very competitive...

f you ask a large language model for any kind of data or recommendation it'll almost always put a year at the end of the query for example if you're in Jacksonville Florida and you ask how much lawn care costs it'll search something like cost of Lawn Care in Jacksonville Florida 2025 so if you want that large launch model to find your website and recommend your lawn care business you should have a blog post called cost of Lawn Care in Jacksonville Florida 2025 and then make sure in that article where you specify the cost you're also recommending your business now as any s. E.

O can tell you this isn't a new tactic including the year in your title has always been good for click through rate it's just much more effective in large language models and so we've now been adding the year on posts that we typically wouldn't add years to and now for that bonus tip of course this means at the end of 2025 you're gonna wanna update that to 2026 it's tempting to just do a finding replace and replace all 2020 fives with 2026 And for lower priority posts, that's probably sufficient...

This guy gets 100 to 200 backlinks per photo. Uploading photos to Unsplash and Pexels.

Uses reverse image search to find photos that were uploaded that this person took. Sends a message to them saying, hey, link to my website.

This is my site. Don't link to Unsplash, don't link to Pexels.

Link to me! 5 to 7% backlink conversion rate.

Ignoring the 60 character limit for page titles. Writing page titles that are 150, 50 to 250 characters.

Instead, Google's just going to write its own page title, so if you write something really long, Google has more context. To do a better job, Google will pick the section that best matches the search.

Make sure you are linking to other pages on your site. Doing it in the middle of a paragraph is pretty good.

This one is hilarious. Grab queries from Search Console, then add those queries and answers verbatim at the bottom of relevant pages.

Seems really spamy...

ar you just change it to 2026. Everyone loves fresh content.

Oh, here's a good tip. Lots of people don't do this.

Make sure you have something to say which people actually want to read. People treat SEO as a series of tricks.

If you aren't tricking Google, write good content that answers people's questions. Format it in a way that is easy to read, provide context, and cite your sources.

That's pretty much what all the SEO tricks are trying to do. They just forget the basic concept of why people write content in the first place.

I'll give you a little trick. If you have a target keyword and you put it right here, that's all.

You just put it right here. Then you don't mention that target keyword anywhere else on your page, but you do write your page for that target keyword.

There's a pretty good chance you're going to rank well, and you can learn more about that at this article over here.

If you want to rank in ChatGPT search results, you need to do these 6 things target keywords like how does AI SEO work? Instead of AI SEO strategy.

This is how people search with ChatGPT. When answering a question, start with a clear and direct answer.

AI wants to use the least amount of resources to find an answer. Use headings, FAQs and bullet points, but not too many.

This helps AI scan and extract the most relevant information. Outdated stats, broken links and old published dates are all gonna harm your chances of ranking.

Even just updating the date can give your content a boost. Add schema markup like FAQ and organisation schema to help AI.

Understand your content. Optimise social content for related keywords.

ChatGPT search results includes content from YouTube, LinkedIn and other social platforms so you've got even more opportunities to rank.
