Ranking in ChatGPT is not exactly the same as ranking in Google GEO is not exactly the same as SEO. But I've already made other videos on that topic. We're just looking for someone to help us with AI optimization or GEO or whatever they'll call it. And what I tell them is that probably doesn't make sense.
Well, there are now a ton of new opportunities because of ChatGPT and other large language models. Process in the strategy is very similar.
Now there is a lot of work that we do to rank in ChatGPT that we just wouldn't do for traditional SEO. Like I wouldn't be putting out press releases right now if it wasn't for ChatGPT.
We wouldn't be so focused on things like case studies. There's a lot of directories that I wouldn't care about and blog topics that I wouldn't bother writing on.
But all of these are really just expansions of our typical SEO campaign...
ncy, I would ask them what they're doing differently to make sure that you're visible in ChatGPT, in Google's AI mode. And if they tell you that nothing has really changed and they're essentially doing the same thing, maybe adding a few more FAQs or structured data, I would consider finding another agency.
Find an agency that's so excited about all these new opportunities that you can't get them to shut up about it.
