Should you be doing SEO for your business? The short answer is almost certainly yes.

I think the better question is, how much should you be investing in SEO? Essentially, every business should have a website.

The titles of the pages on those website should match what people are searching for when they're in need of your product or service. If you're a local business, you should have a Google Business Profile.

You should completely fill out that profile and you should get reviews. I would consider all of this SEO, but none of it requires a big investment.

So again, the real question is, how much should you invest in SEO? The main factor here is going to be how established is your brand.

More established you are. In other words, the higher your revenue, the more well known you are in your industry.

The more established your authority is online, the higher that ROI is gonna be on your SEO investment. The next biggest factor are whether or not your potential customers actually go to Google to search for the product or service you offer...

e more effective for you. And the third and smallest factor is how competitive your space is.

If your direct competitors are larger, more established brands who are maybe investing more in SEO, it's going to be harder. The reason this is the smallest factor is because all forms of marketing are gonna be harder in that case.

And as we move towards AI Search, it's getting easier and easier to compete in these competitive spaces as long as you can carve out some niche where you're still seen as number one. So again, I think every business should be investing in the basics.

Every business should have a well optimized website. Make sure your business has a presence in the places that people in AI go to when they're interested in your products and services.

But the real question is, should you be paying an agency like mine thousands of dollars every month to do SEO on your behalf? If you're a large, established brand and people routinely go to Google to look for your product or service, you should absolutely be investing a lot into SEO...

t nonetheless unpredictable. But also, you don't have to be as patient as you used to be.

We're seeing results in AI search much faster than we did in traditional search. Instead of having to wait six to 12 months to know if it's working, now it's more like three months.

But if you can't afford to take on that risk or to wait three months if you need customers right now, you're probably better off putting your money in advertising now. Of course, you don't have to choose.

Like I said in my last videos, you can do Google ads and SEO. And if you have the budget, I think this is a wise choice.

Google ads or social media ads can bring in customers now, and SEO is a long term investment for the future.
