Google just filed a new patent that reveals they intend on replacing your website with an AI generated landing page. People are understandably panicking about this right now.

I actually think it's pretty cool, so let's dive into it. The patent is called AI generated landing pages for a specific user.

It was filed at the end of january. It outlines a process where after someone goes to Google and searches for a specific product or service, Google will look at the search results and determine whether or not they should generate a new landing page for your website.

If they feel like your current landing page that is already ranking for the search term is not specific enough to this user, it'll take all the information it has from your entire website and build a landing page specifically for them. So let's say you already have a generic landing page for your product or service.

It could spin up a brand new one that's specifically for a user in a specific city with specific interests...

n they're actually gonna use it. And maybe Gemini 3.1 isn't up for the challenge.

Maybe it's still making too many mistakes. But I bet Gemini 4 or Gemini 5 could do it.

AI is never gonna stop getting better. Eventually it's just gonna be able to create a better landing page.

So if you're a big brand that puts a lot of time and resources into their website design, you probably don't want gemini rebuilding your landing pages anytime soon. And hopefully Google has the sense to let people opt out of this.

But most websites are terrible. Most brands just don't have the resources to build a nice landing page that's perfectly optimized to any given user.

Right now in SEO, it's incredibly effective to make a different landing page for each demographic and use case. And we do this for our clients.

But it's always felt kind of weird. If Google can just spin up a landing page for you that's perfectly optimized for the user and provides a much better user experience, it seems reasonable that they can also rank your website on those factors...

So in the future we may see them make unique guess your landing pages based on the Google search and even the person doing the Google search. In the patent it says it might add things like product feeds, AI chatbots, even if you don't have one on your site yourself, their own call to action buttons.

The thing is, in order for them to do this for you, they need to know a lot about your brand. Make sure there's a lot on your website about what your company does, how people use it, where it is.

Basically everything you can think of. And if you want a specific system of making content on your site that says all this, that ranks super high in Google for years and years, that gets recommended in AI, that brings paying customers users and warm leads, this is all shown in my SEO course at compactkeywords.com.
