I'm gonna show you how to do keyword research because a lot of people don't know how to do it correctly, and we're gonna change that. First, we're gonna go to your keyword research tool.

I like to use Semrush for this, but any good keyword research tool will do. And no, you're not gonna use ChatGPT.

You're gonna start out by searching for the keyword that you think you wanna rank for. So let's say you sell candles.

Search candles. I'm gonna have to give you some tough love here.

You're not gonna rank for candles. That's for the likes of Yankee Candles and Jo Malone.

What you should get is a keyword list that looks like this. And you're gonna filter it basically by anything that can describe your product.

Scented candles, glitter candles, aromatherapy candle. This should give you a list of keyword ideas.

You're gonna scroll through this list paying attention to these. Columns intent, which is the reason behind the search.

You wanna focus on commercial and transactional intent Keywords. Then you wanna look at the keyword difficulty...

tting keywords with the right intent. High search volume, but low keyword difficulty.

This is gonna give you keywords like coffee scented candles. This is actually a good one.

No scent candles. Oh, my God.

That would be such a good angle. If it's something you offer.
