Most people have no idea what Figma's new AI agent can actually do. Here are three of the most popular workflows that blew my mind. One you can make bulk edits across your entire project.
This is actually my most used feature with their new AI agents.
Say you have 50 screens on your design and you need to change the accent color in every single one. Or swap a component across every page. Or update the typography everywhere.
Normally you are clicking through every screen one by one and doing the exact same edit over and over.
This will take me multiple days to do with the new Figma AI Agent. You just say update the header font to enter across every screen. Or swap all the old button components to the new design system version.
It does it to the entire file for every screen at once.
2. You you can ask the agent to generate multiple completely different style directions for the same design and compare them side to side instead of committing to the first layout that you start out with. You tell the agent give me three design styles for the screen, one that's organic, one modern, and one minimalistic.
It then generates all three right in the canvas next to each other with your exact feature.
This is really helpful when I build apps for small businesses because it lets me prototype different design variations really quickly with the same project specifications. 3. This Last one is the one that's saving me the most time.
You can convert your entire project to dark mode with just one prompt.
That sounds easy, right? But no, this normally would have taken me multiple hours going across every single model and button component and changing into dark mode itself. I had a full app with 15 different screens all in light mode, and I just told the agent convert all of these to dark mode.
And then it did.
Not just invert the colors, which always looks terrible. I actually understood the visual hierarchy and made a proper dark mode adjustments to every fill, every text color, and every contrast ratio across all 15 different screens.
