Most people are using Claude as a regular chat search. They ask a question, get the answer, and then close the tab. Here are five things that it can do that most people don't know about artifacts.

Most people think that Claude only makes text, but it can actually build working apps right inside of your chat.

Not code that you copy to somewhere else, a real app that you click and use inside the side panel. You can make stuff like habit trackers, calculators, dashboards, and games. Describe what you want, and can build a working product that you use immediately.

Claude dot MD you can create a file called Claude dot MD in your project folder and Claude reads it automatically at the start of every session.

I use Claude dot MD to add in my writing rules, my terminology, words that I never want to use, and how I like things formatted. I only need to write it once, and every session from that point on follows my rules. This is a browser extension that lets Claude see and interact with whatever pages you have open.

It can read the web page, click links, fill out forms, and navigates for you.

I use it often to fill out pages with long manual forms like applications. Personal psychology you can turn Claude into a cognitive behavioral therapist that actually challenges your thinking. Instead of agreeing with everything you say, you tell it to ask questions instead of giving Answers and to point out when you're catastrophizing and doing black and white thinking.

I use this for any decision I keep going back and forth on.

Practicing hard conversations. You can have Claude role play as someone you need to have a difficult conversation with your boss, a sales client, or a job interviewer. You just describe who they are and how they react, and Claude stays in character and responds the actual way the person would.

So by the time you walk in the real conversation, you already heard the hardest push back that they could say.
