Last week Google put out a fascinating guide that shows people how to get the most out of Google's AI generative products specifically Google AI overviews and Google AI mode. Now looking at this article there's some really interesting things there but there's also some stuff there that we've been telling people all along. 1, Google have told us and they continue to tell us that traditional SEO will work with AEO AI SEO and GEO.
2, what they have told us is that content still matters.
The type of content that you are writing should not be commoditized. It should not just be the same that everyone is writing. Write for humans, write something interesting, include high quality images, videos and graphs.
What the guide has also told us is that there's some of the myths out there that you can just ignore.
So for example, LLM's dot text Google is saying doesn't play a big part. They're saying that you don't have to write your content just for the AI's. They've also told us don't over focus on Javascript and HTML m L don't overfocus on a lot of other things that all these so called AI experts are telling you.
Don't overchunk your articles and just be normal when you're writing everything.
I would suggest you go take a look at this article. I've put the link below makes For some really interesting reading. Another important thing that whenever you're looking at Google Guides and their views, you have to put your s.
E.
O. Hat on because sometimes what Google are telling you are not always 100% accurate. Some of the things, for example, that Google might be telling you that don't work actually do work.
So just take it slowly.
Don't follow this guide blindly. But the main core of it, I definitely would study and take great heed of because it's really important.
