All the AI SEO bros were totally wrong about schema. Mark Williams Cook did a very fantastic test where he made fake schema on his website. So it wasn't real schema markup.

It was just random code that he made up.

But he put like special words in there that the AI LLMs picked up. And so what that proved is that it wasn't about the actual schema. It was actually more just the fact that it had content on the page.

What the AI's do is they just strip all the code from the page.

So schema isn't what helps. It's just having the content on the page. And so this is a key thing that I think you need to know.

Probably not worth your time.

If you care about ranking an AI results to Mark everything up in schema, you don't need to.
