OpenAI just hired the guy who built the most advanced AI agent ever. This is a HUGE signal. Anthropic is leading right now with Claude Cowork, but OpenAI is coming...
OpenAI just hired the creator of opencl, and it looks like the race to build the best personal agent has begun. If you haven't heard of opencl, I have another video about it. But it's by far the most sophisticated AI agent we've seen today.
It's doing things that we didn't think would be possible within this year. They said in that other video, opencl has all kinds of security issues, but it showed us what's possible with AI. Agents.
And it was obvious at that point that this would put a lot of pressure on google, OpenAI, and anthropic to build better AI. Agents. But I did not expect OpenAI.
To hire peter steinberger. This shows you how seriously the big model makers are taking this moment. And I anticipate it's gonna lead to some huge gains over the course of twenty, twenty six.
Now, in terms of safe, personalized agents that just work out of the box and are available right now, anthropic is the clear leader. Claude co work is a game changer, and if you do any kind of knowledge work, you should be using it right now. I'm sure OpenAI realized they're behind in this regard, and that was a big reason they hired peter steinberger.
And it just seems like a huge missed opportunity for anthropic not to have hired him. However, anthropic might have closed the door on the opportunity to hire peter when they Sued him for the original name of openclow, which was claudbot because it sounded too similar to claude. Meanwhile, google is just taking their time because they know they have the distribution advantage.
But I think it's a safe bet that they'll respond in kind sometime in twenty twenty six. what does this mean for you if you do any kind of work on a computer? I think we're very quickly moving into a world where working with AI agents is just as mandatory as it is to work with a computer.
Just consider the work that you currently do on a computer. How useful would you be if you decided you're going to refuse to use a computer? I think within one or two years the same is going to be true of AI.
Agents. If you haven't already, I highly recommend just downloading claude cowork and starting to play around with it. I think you'll be surprised what it can do already.
