If you haven't heard of Claude Cowork yet, I think you will soon.

If the large language model is like the invention of the computer, Claude Cowork is like the first personal computer.

And I think it's gonna have as big an impact in the way we all work.

In short, Cloudwork is a desktop app that has access to all the files you want it to have access to on your computer or in the cloud, and can also browse the internet.

In other words, it can do literally everything a human can do on a computer.

As long as you're able to articulate the task, Claude Co Work can handle it.

Right now, it is a little slow and it does make mistakes, but it's already remarkably good.

Good enough that when you see it in action, it's very clear that this is the future of work.

I'm confident that by the end of 2026, we're gonna see OpenAI and Google respond with their own version of cowork.

But as of right now, Claude has a huge lead.

Claude has been focused on enterprise for a while now, where ChatGPT has always been focused on the consumer and Google's always been somewhere in the middle.

More importantly, Claude understands that as all these models become more capable, it's not the intelligence of the model that matters most.

Intelligence isn't the bottleneck.

The bottleneck is what anthropic, the creators of Claude, refer to as the Harness the harness refers to the software that the large language model sits inside of.

It's the scaffolding that helps these models overcome their typical shortcomings.

Things like checking its work to prevent hallucination, remembering important context, and maybe the thing that Claude is best at, planning ahead and then adjusting that plan as new information arises.

Claude Co worker is currently only available for Mac, but it will be coming to Windows soon.

If you're on Windows like me, I recommend getting the Claude Chrome extension that will allow Claude to use your browser on your behalf.

I've been using this to have Claude build the dashboards and Looker Studio for me, configure my Google Analytics, find the best person to contact at specific organizations and gather their contact details.

Claude's also really good at building PowerPoint presentations, even in the web version.

And now they partner with Microsoft to bring Claude into Excel.

It's the first time I've considered switching from Google Sheets to Excel.

It's incredibly good at understanding and manipulating spreadsheets.

And by the way, Claude co work was built in 10 days using Claude code.

It's crazy to think how good it could be by the end of 2026.

I just think it's inevitable.

Just like you couldn't imagine working without a computer these days, I think something like co work is gonna be mandatory.
