Google just launched a really cool AI agent for e-commerce businesses. So if you run a search on Google and you get the profile, you can start a conversational chat with that business. So you can ask it, you know, like, oh, hey, do you have this product in stock?
And you can ask followup questions like, hey, how does this product compare to that product?
And the thing that's cool about it is that it's conversational. Now, I think that this is exactly what we're gonna see coming to Google business profiles. So right now, Google has rolled out this thing called Ask Maps in Google Maps.
So you can ask a question and then get a response.
Now, you could ask another question, but it's not conversational. It's not like it's back and forth where you can ask followup questions. I think we're gonna see Google add this kind of conversational AI agent to Google business profiles.
I feel like that's V2 of the Ask Maps functionality.
So here's what you can do to prepare for this. You need to make sure that your Google Business Profile and your website is providing Google with every possible data point you can think of. Every service you offer, every amenity, every little detail about your business, the products you carry, the specifics about how you do your service.
Basically, you need to feed the AI with all the data it needs to answer every possible question about your business.
And then you know what? Mark it up in schema. I know I've said in the past that I don't think schema is that important.
I think that if you make the data easily understandable by the robots, then that can't be a bad thing.
Feed the bots, then those AI agents can answer all those questions for your business.
