Citation directory descriptions. This is a slept on opportunity. I think most businesses, when they built their citations, so they got listed on Yellow Pages, Mapquest, superpages, all these sites, they did that years ago and they just use the same business description that they've been using for the last 20 years in their business.
Sometimes it's really poorly written.
You need to rewrite that description. Think of it as like a data set and you want it to be written in what are called semantic triples, subject, predicate, object. Acme Pest Control is a Dallas pest control company specializing in wasp removal or specializing in this.
And so without, with throughout the whole description, you want to optimize it to really explain in very clear terms what your business is, what it does.
And then update all your citations. What you say about yourself is only so much, but what does the broader web say about you? That's just a golden opportunity to go update all your citation descriptions to really emphasize some of these things that you haven't maybe thought about for 10 years.
