OpenAI has just declared war on Google. This week they launched ChatGPT Atlas and it's their own web browser with ChatGPT built into it now what OpenAI have said the point of this browser is to make your online experience more personal. When you are in a website you can open up ChatGPT and ask it to help you find more things and just make your life a lot easier.
Take a look at this example I'm currently in ChatGPT Atlas and I'm gonna go on a local website called Lighting Warehouse I'm gonna ask ChatGPT questions and guidance and what that's gonna do is to do the research for me inside the website.
As you can see straight away the experience and the way that it's working is so different compared to Chrome. This web browser could have quite huge ramifications for Google obviously OpenAI want to take a piece of that market away from Chrome which is Google's web browser. When ChatGPT Atlas was launched the market overreacted a little bit and everyone started selling off the Google stock it went down 6% but you can see straight away that it has rebounded.
Now what this rebound is telling me is that the market aren't really 100% sure how successful this web browser is going to be and how many people are going to start taking It up currently the web browser is only available to Mac users OpenAI. I said that soon they're gonna be launching it to Windows and Android and I'm sure it's gonna come on the phone as well.
