Your competitors think video is too hard. That's exactly why you should be making them. ๐Ÿ’ก What's stopping you?...

Video is the easiest form of marketing and I can already hear you saying no TJ videos terrible. Maybe it's easy for you to make video, but it's not easy for me. It's gonna take a ton of time or money and no one's gonna see my video anyways.

I'd rather just write blog posts or run ads. But the thing is, this is exactly how all your competitors feel too, which is why it's so easy to win with videos. There's just less competition and that's not to mention that all the algorithms love video right now.

Everyone's pushing video. So you really have an unfair advantage if you're just willing to make them. And I'm not knocking blog posts or running ads, but making videos is the easiest way to create high quality blog posts and high performing ads.

The thing is, video feels competitive because you see these videos with millions of views and high production value and that get you thinking, I could never do that. But the thing is, you don't have to compete against Mr Beast or other YouTubers or famous TikTokers. Instead, you should be looking at your direct competitors in the video content that they're creating.

Of course, the first thing you'll notice is that most of them aren't creating video content at all. But I bet you'll find at least a few competitors that are creating video and typically you'll find they're not high quality videos and they're not getting millions of views. In most industries they're probably not even getting thousands of views.

So you have to ask yourself, why are they continuing to create these mid videos that are getting a couple hundred views? Well, if you're in an industry where each customer is worth hundreds or thousands of dollars and you don't have to put a lot of effort into each video, it's easy to see how even 100 views from your ideal customer could be well worth the time. For most businesses, if you put a landing page up on your website and it got 100 visits, you consider that a success.

And a typical landing page takes way more effort and converts at a lower rate than a good video. The biggest mistake businesses make with their video strategy is going after view count instead of going after the right views. Not only will a good video bring you leads from the platform you post to which you should be posting to all of them, it's often the easiest way to rank for a competitive term in Google search results.

All your competitors are doing blog posts. Most of them are not doing video and Google showing video in their search results more and more often these days. It's also a completely free way to test ads.

You can reedit your top performing videos into 15 second ad spots with a strong CTA at the end and the video transcript becomes the perfect starting point. For a blog post.
