It is vitally important that if you're running Google Ads, you have to be doing at least onsite search engine optimisation. The reason that is, is something called your Quality Score. The Quality Score is a score system where Google punishes you or rewards you for how well you have done your Google Ads.
one of the most important things with Google Ads and Quality Score is something called ad relevance. High relevant is the keyword that you're bidding on relevant to your text ad.
And then again, how relevant is the text ad and the keyword that you're bidding on to your website. So let's say for example, you are bidding on a word houses for sale in Cape Town. Your text ad should say houses for sale in Cape Town at least in one or two of the headlines.
And then finally, your website, Google has to see is again about houses for sale in Cape Town.
Obviously, the only way that Google Ads can see that your website is speaking about houses for sale in Cape Town or whatever it's talking about is by doing search engine optimization specifically with your page title, your page description, your headline and some the text on your website. If Google don't see that your website is speaking about houses for sale for Cape Town, they're going to come back and penalize you in your Google Ads account.
That form of penalization is that your cost per click can be a lot higher than it Actually has to be if you want to perform better at Google Ads and you want the lowest possible cost per click, you have to be working on your onsite search engine optimisation.
