iThis guy gained AI overviews for 5 dollars. He bought a 5 dollar press release to say a fictional marketing agency now offers generative engine optimization services. This basically means doing SEO for AI.
Would you look at that. I influenced the AI overview. Here it is.
He wrote that his fictional agency has a 5 star rating. The reason this worked is because all the mentions from the press release, which was syndicated to a lot of different places, use statistical reinforcement to have the AI conclude his agency is worth it. And he probably just used Fiverr for the press release distribution.
