You should be tracking your brand's presence in chat, GPT, and other large language models. At the very least, you should have filters set up in Google Analytics to catch traffic to your website from these large language models. But there are also now a lot of tools like profound and even hrefs that let you track how often your brand is being mentioned by these models.
If you have a marketing company working for you, they should be doing this. However, this is the important part. You should expect the traffic from these models and the amount of mentions you're getting to automatically increase over time.
My guess is that a lot of these marketing companies are gonna try to take credit for the increases in traffic from these large language models. Don't be fooled. Usage of these models is going up dramatically every month, so your traffic from them should be as well.
Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't things you can do to get more traffic from them. And you should be doing those things, because by the end of this year, I think traffic from large language models is going to outvalue traffic from traditional search engines.
