Has anyone else noticed we're letting AI make more and more decisions for us? Last week, I had to set up a bank account for my business. I spent 5 minutes talking with ChatGPT 0 3 before giving all my personal details to some company I had never heard of before.

I just know that O3 is, like, way more capable at making that kind of decision than I am. Now, to be clear, I would not have trusted 4 O with that kind of decision. As these AI models get smarter, we're trusting them with bigger and bigger decisions.

I just wanna talk about how we got here and what I think this means for the future. I think one of the first big decisions we all turned over to AI. Was driving right when G P S.

Came out. It was like magic. And none of us really realised we were giving up our spatial reasoning for convenience.

And in the last five years or so, we've pretty much given up on choosing what we're gonna watch on our screens, whether it's Netflix or YouTube or TikTok. We just let the algorithms tell us what to watch. And it's hard to see how this would stop.

As AI. Gets smarter and smarter, it's just gonna become more convenient to hand over decision making. Who could be bothered to think about important decisions when the AI.

Is so much better at it? And I'm saying this As an adult that, like, kind of understands how the world works, my kids pretty much let ChatGPT make all their decisions for them. The other day, my 15 year old came to me and said, dad, I need to start taking turmeric supplements.

And I was like, why do you need to take turmeric supplements? And he was like, I don't know. ChatGPT told me to.

So we ordered him some turmeric supplements. I don't know how this is gonna end, but I'm guessing at some point, society is gonna kind of realize that we're all sleepwalking through important life decisions, and there will be some kind of pushback akin to the pushback we see with social media. But I think it's inevitable that as these AI's get better at making decisions for us, people are going to trust them more.

And so, as a business or a brand, your success is going to largely depend on whether or not these AI. Algorithms are recommending you. I can't imagine something more important.
