Start out with keyword research, looking for medium or long tail keywords in my industry. The goal with this is to look for niche keywords, so they're keywords that less websites are targeting, so they're easier for a new website to target and rank for.
Once I've got my keywords, I'll start working on optimise content, making sure that I include my keywords in the heading 1, including at least 2 or 3 additional headings with at least one of them including my keyword, optimising my image titles and alt text so they include the keywords, including internal links to other pages on the site, including my main keyword in the page URL and the page title, and making sure I've got at least 300 words of written content. Then I'd move on to technical SEO.
If I changed page URL's in the previous step, then I'd make sure to check for any broken links and redirect them to the current live URL's. Once all of the content is published, I'm gonna submit the site map in Google Search Console, and to make sure the website's offering a good user experience, I'm gonna check the page speed in page speed insights. Then I'm gonna move on to the task that are gonna be ongoing with link building.
I'm gonna look for relevant directories to submit my site to, any websites that might wanna do a link exchange or a guest post exchange, and I'm gonna sign up to digital PR platforms so I can try and get some links on some high authority sites. While I'm doing that, I'm gonna continue to publish relevant blog posts, helpful guides, resources that are gonna help my website rank for more searches within my industry.
