You wouldn't let your teenage son do your tax returns, so why would you let them recreate your website for you? This is exactly the conversation that I had with a client this week. We have been running the search engine optimization and their Google Ads for just over a year.

We've put a lot of effort into the search engine optimization.

We've done onsite SEO. We've done backlinking and we've done blogging. We really have put in a great effort and the results have really started to grow.

But this what happened.

They got the young teenage son who's into websites to totally recreate a website for them without telling us. They've lost all the SEO rankings. They've lost all the pages that were doing well on SEO for them.

They've lost their page titles.

They've lost their page descriptions and they've lost their blogs. The SEO literally has tanked. That's besides the point that the website just looks terrible.

Now.

The point is, and I still can't get my head around this because I see it so many times, you wouldn't let your teenage son or a family member or a secretary just play around with something as important, let's say, as your tax returns because the potential negative outcomes could be so serious. How could you let them play with your website, which is generating you so much business and so much leads? Now, just think about that for A second.

Your website and for that matter, your Google Ads, your SEO.

And your social media brings in a huge amount of money for you. It is a serious matter and it should be treated seriously.
