So marketing agencies as we've known them are dying by 2027. I've already made another video going over my thoughts on that, but it'll happen in phases. So I just want to talk a bit about this first phase and what we're seeing already.

So for the last 11 years, I helped run an agency that served small business owners, and we did pretty well. I help build the agency from a few clients to about 60 to 70 reoccurring clients. And while digital marketing has always moved fast, especially SEO.

That I specialize in, we really only had to change our systems every year or two. But of course, since ChatGPT came out and AI has started picking up, things have been changing much faster. Unfortunately, I could never convince the founder of that last agency of this.

And so on May 1st, I finally decided to go out on my own again. And since then, I've met a ton of agency owners that are focused on the future. And I just wanna share what I see working right now and what I think makes sense for a business owner.

So I think the Old Agency model is kind of already dead. In that model, you have step by step processes that you apply to each client. And this allows you to easily replace and train new people in your agency and still have good profit margins.

One of the models I've seen working right now isn't necessarily New. It's just well suited for this change, and that's being very specialized in one type of business. If you only work for, let's say, window tinting shops, you very quickly become an expert on what works for those businesses specifically.

And as long as you have a first principles understanding of these algorithms, you're continuously learning and keeping up with the changes, you can adapt to the technology pretty easily. Being specialized like this allows you to be very agile. The other method I'm seeing that allows you to be agile is the single consultant with a team of superheroes.

If you're not gonna specialize in just one type of business, you need to be ready to handle a lot of different clients. But trying to keep up with all the changes in website development and SEO and Google ads and social media for multiple different industries is nearly impossible. However, if you have a big enough network of specialists that you can pull in for any project, you become much more valuable.

So that's what I've been working on for the last six or seven weeks. I have one full time person that works with me doing account management and operations. Otherwise, I don't plan on hiring anyone.

I'm intentionally staying small so that I can be as agile as possible. And most of my effort right now is finding other agencies and specialists that are keeping up with the changes in technology and adapting their service every Month. And I gotta say, it's going really well.

It feels like the future.
