This is what happened. The green ones are dedicated hosting, the yellow is shared hosting. The dedicated hosting site dominated the shared hosting site.
This is because you could share an IP address with spammy sites like these. If that happens, all the sites on the same IP address lose rank. Google won't even notify you and you won't know why.
