Let's talk about the future of website design. Only a few years ago, in 2022, if you wanted a nice professional website for your small business, you really had to hire a developer and probably a designer too. By 2022 you could build an okay website in Google Sites or go daddy.

But let's be honest, they looked pretty terrible. In 2023, as the AI. Hype was just starting to build, website builders like Wix started coming out with these AI builders, but they actually didn't use that much AI.

And they still looked really generic and not all that great. In 2024, we started to get some actual AI website builders like lovable and Bolt, and now you can actually build some pretty cool stuff, but it still takes a lot of time and someone with technical knowledge. In 2025 we've gotten elementor Sites, which means we can start using AI builders on word press.

And then just recently Figma Sites was announced, which seems like it could let designers build fully functional websites without a developer, and it might even compete with Word Press. So what does 2026 look like? My prediction is that's the year where anyone who's capable with using AI is going to be able to build beautiful, functional custom websites.

My prediction is unless you have an enormous budget, you'd be better off having someone who knows how to use AI. Building your website than a website designer or Developer who do not know how to use AI. I think only the best designers and developers in the world are gonna be able to do something better than AI.

Can do in 2026. The technology is moving really fast, which means the cost of building the website is gonna go way down. And pretty soon, there will be no excuse for any small business owner not to have a beautiful custom website.
