SearchGPT: OpenAI's answer to Google ๐Ÿ” See how it finds local businesses differently! Pulls from Google Maps + its own index ๐Ÿค” Interesting for biz owners: detailed website...

I got early access to Search GPT. This is OpenAI's competitor to Google Search. I'm gonna search for window tinting shops near me.

That's pretty fast. I'm also noticing that it's pulling the same images for these three websites. It's actually getting information from maps dot Google dot com.

We see the first result here is Precision Window Tint. And Search GBT is showing Ultra Tint. It's pulling information from Google Maps, but it's not just copying the same rankings.

You can see it also has its own index and it's pulling information from that as well. Let's try asking a follow up question. Show me shops that offer ceramic window tint, have experience with Teslas, and are open on weekends.

This is something you just couldn't do on Google. And as you can see, the information provided on each includes experience with Teslas and whether or not they're open on weekends. It's mostly going off of each of these businesses own website.

Having really specific, detailed information about your business on your website is gonna help you show up for more of these very specific searches.
